The Telephone On-Hold Script Process:
Creating your custom on-hold script is fun and easy with Telephone On Hold – because we do it for you! All it takes is a phone call.
Your script consultant will contact you right after you become our client, and we’ll set up a mutually convenient time for a phone meeting. Typically, our phone interviews take about 15 and 20 minutes. Before the phone call, your script consultant will review your website for key points that make your business stand out from the crowd. When we call, we’ll use that phone time to get better acquainted, to talk about your on-hold marketing goals and to learn about other valuable information you’d like us to include. We’ll look for ways that your on-hold program can help drive revenue to your business, by introducing products and services your callers might otherwise overlook. It’s also helpful to talk about the average length of time your clients are usually on hold, so that we can pace the program to work best with your callers’ on hold experience. Likewise, we'll discuss the frequency that callers tend to call your business. Once the call is complete, we go to work on your script draft. Typically, we write about 800 words for each custom script, divided into about eight to ten statements. Each statement addresses a different topic. We keep the statements relatively concise and to the point, then invite your caller to either go to your website (a great resource that they might not normally use) or ask for more details when you come back to their call. Remember that your audience is on hold and waiting to talk to you – so the idea is to introduce a topic, and encourage them to seek more information about it. Remember, too, that they already have a reason for calling, and they’ll be thinking about that while they hear your program. Keeping new topics “concise and to the point” will be more likely to make an impact on them. If your business has ongoing specials, events or seasonal changes, we’ll develop a script that can be updated according to your needs and the plan you have chosen. When the script draft is complete, we’ll email it to you along with a link to our website’s soundstage page. It’s fun to listen to our voices and music while you read your draft! You’ll start to see how the whole program will come together for your callers. We’ll invite you to review the script draft and make as many changes as you feel it needs. We’ll work together to refine the script until it is exactly right for your business and goals. Then – it’s off to the studio to record and produce your program. Could it be any easier? |
